Civilized
Being civilized means having manners or being raised with politeness. It can also mean knowing facts about the world around us. I have heard cilized in many sentences. For example, "Enter the room in a civilized manner." Personally I never used the word civilized so im not sure what it means but i think it also has somethingto do with having a highly developed society or culture.

Very good Jessicea, i believe you are on teh right path for understanding what civilized means. I like your example of when you have heard the word as it does relate to your definition. I would like you to give a little more detail about your last sentence. Follow up with details like what makes a society or culture highly developed?? Also, remember to use spell check on WORD, as this will help erasing some of your errors.
